President’s report
Ron Copp, Ben Copp, Steve Sloan, Pete Mitchell, Joe Arsenault, Jason
Copp, Mike Creamer met last weekend and jacked up the snowmobile clubhouse. It is now completely level.
Mike Creamer talked to Chuck Dews about installing
the two new solid core steel overhead doors.
Pete Mitchell attended the mandatory meeting at MSA. He reports that the clubs liability now has the same limits
as landowners and that clubs are now not liable for injuries incurred
on the trail as long as it is not negligence.
Pete also reported that Clubs must
be incorporated in order to get capital equipment grants.The club
is eligible for a 20% grant on capital equipment over $3000.
Major maintenance on trails must be approved by
landowners and signs are encouraged stating entering and leaving trail
systems.
Treasurer’s report $10065 in checking $563.51 in
savings Items paid to date: $537 for groomer repair, $550 to Southpaw for decals $63 to postmaster for a
new PO Box and postage.
Safety Chris Cyr handed out a safety report on accident statistics. He also handed out an interactive DVD paid for by the
Brian Wass snowmobile safety fund.
Membership Chris has verbal commitment of 40 business memberships. Chris requested approval for a web site to support the
business memberships. Joanne Jordan requested approval
for a $300 limit for setting up a web site. A vote
was taken and the request was approved.
Trailmaster ReportRonnie showed up at the clubhouse and
no one else did so he and Wendy went out and started putting up signs.
This weekend Nov.7, we are planning on rebuilding the clubhouse ramp,
painting sign posts, attach plywood to sign posts.
We still need to talk to the new homeowner on Blanchard Rd.
The bridge on the power lines on Blanchard Rd needs to be put back in place.
ActivitiesWe need to sign up for Wadleigh Mountain Camps Club
trip.
Other News:Mike got a quote from Wescotts for a new Polaris wide
track. The price they gave us for a 2005 was $6900
plus studs and sales tax.
Pete Mitchell got a quote from Street Cycles for a 4 Stroke. The price they gave us was $7200 for a 2004 and $7805
for a 2005 plus studs and sales tax.
There was a debate on the pros and cons on each sled and the dealers. There was a vote and the club voted to buy the Polaris
in a 7 to 6 vote.
